Pertegaz
Art Direction / Brand Identity System / Product Design
While collaborating with Pertegaz I defined the brand codes and created a visual language for the Spanish brand founded by Manuel Pertegaz in 1942. Key elements inspired by Spanish folklore dress include a reinterpretation of the “flamenco” polkadot, ruffle sleeves, ribbons and the bolero jacket. Drawing inspiration from the archives I designed a series of geometric graphics including the icon of a bird silhouette to work across accessories and knitwear collections. The image direction emphasises a bold yet timeless elegance characteristic of the late designer´s signature style.
