Brand Identity System / Art Direction / Visual Design
We collaborated with this New York-based restaurant group to create the SushiSamba brand rollout for the opening of the two original locations in 1998, Park Avenue and 7th Avenue in New York City. We later extended the brand experience to the Miami beach and Chicago locations in 1999. We defined a flexible brand visual language and brand codes capturing the essence of the restaurant’s fusion of Japanese, Peruvian and Brazilian cultures.
(Fun fact: The Park Avenue location was part of the setting for the Sex in the City series in the late 1990s.)
